TAJIKISTAN TOUR PANJAKENT - SEVEN LAKES- ISKANDARKUL - DUSHANBE

Day 1 - Samarkand – Jartepa - Panjakent (80-80 km)

Meet the driver at the hotel in Samarkand.

09:00 Transfer to Uzbek - Tajik border “Jarteppa” (~50 km, 30 min). 

Arrival Uzbek - Tajik border pass. Pass the border. Meet by Tajikistan staff and transfer to Panjakent.

Arrival and start the excursion program in Panjakent.

Museum of Rudaki – As  Panjakent is a birthplace of Abu-Abdallah Rudaki, considered by many to be the father of Persian Poetry.  Before lunch, we'll visit the local bazaar and mosque.

Lunch in the local restaurant.                            

Sarazm ruins - one of the ancient settlements in Central Asia with a 5500 - year civilization. In 2010 Sarazm was added to the list of Human Heritage by UNESCO. 

Drive to 7 lakes area in Fan Mountains to see seven of these picturesque water bodies with different colors set in the mountains of Tajikistan, at just over 2000m above sea level.

Marguzor valley - lake Hazorchashma, most beautiful and clean lake in this valley. Walking tour between 6 lakes Marguzor to Hazorchashma lakes. Hiking time 2 hrs.

Day 2- Panjakent – Iskanderkul (150 km)

Breakfast. Transfer to Iskanderkul. Iskandarkul-known as a lake of Alexander the Great was established on 1969. The area of the lake is 30000 ha, which means Alexander. This place is connecting with him. He with his army had a rest on the lakeshore after each campaign. Excursion to waterfall where Alexander river falling from 24 m height, Panjchashma.

Day 3 - Iskanderkul – Dushanbe (130 km)

After breakfast, transfer to Dushanbe. Start sightseeing tour in Dushanbe. City tour covers: Tajikistan United Museum including the exhibits on history, natural history and art, with Buddha in Nirvana as one of the valuable exhibits of museum (closed on Mondays). Stroll in Botanical garden with many old trees – a favourite place of Tajiks; local bazaar - as a rule, the most crowded place in the city.

Excursion to Hissar fortress the remains of an 18th century fortress, occupied until 1924 is located in 30 km west of Dushanbe. Beside the fortress are two plain Madrassah, one dating from the 18th century and the other 19th, and beyond them is the mausoleum of 16th century.

Day4   Dushanbe - Transfer to airport flight…
